What quartz costs in Chennai
Quartz is quoted two ways, and mixing them up is where most surprises come from. The stone is priced per square foot. Turning that stone into a fitted countertop is priced per slab. Both are listed below, along with the charges that sit on top.
Material: rate per square foot
Every design we stock falls into one of ten series. The series sets the rate; within a series the price is the same whichever pattern you pick. These are MSP figures for 2 cm slabs, material only.

Slab sizes, and why they matter
You buy whole slabs, not square feet. Two sizes come out of the plant:

What matters is not the area but how the pieces cut out of the width. A platform 2 ft deep takes 61 cm of a slab’s width. A regular slab is 147 cm wide, so it yields two full-length runs of about 10.5 ft each, and a 25 cm strip left over — enough for a window sill or a narrow backsplash, not for a third run. A jumbo slab is 163 cm wide and also yields two runs, with a wider 41 cm strip to spare.
So a two-run kitchen fits one slab. Add an island and you are into a second slab, because an island needs a piece deeper than the strip that remains, even though the raw area might still look like it fits. This is the point where the total jumps rather than creeps. If your layout sits close to a slab boundary, ask us to nest the pieces before you settle the design.
Fabrication and installation
₹12,000 per slab. That covers cutting to your measurements, polishing the exposed edges, transport to site and fitting. It is charged per slab consumed, not per square foot, so a job that wastes half a slab still pays for the slab.
Edge profiles

Rft is running feet of finished edge, not the perimeter of the slab. Measure only the edges people can see and touch.
Cutouts
Sink and hob openings are charged per cutout and depend on the type. An undermount sink takes more work than a drop-in. Bring us the sink and hob model numbers and we can put a figure on it.
What is not included
- Demolition or disposal of an existing countertop.
- Plumbing and electrical disconnection and reconnection.
- Carpentry: the base cabinet must be level and able to carry the load before we fit.
- Backsplash beyond the slab area quoted.
- GST, quoted separately.
A worked example
An L-shaped kitchen, 10 ft and 6 ft runs, 2 ft deep, in Aqua Cream at ₹630 per sq ft:

The same kitchen in a Calacutta design at ₹890 would run about ₹59,700 on the same basis. The stone, not the labour, is what moves the number.
